Glasgow, it’s your moment to Shine! Join hundreds of people lighting up the city to raise money to save and improve lives.
Shine Night Walk is your chance to light up Glasgow’s streets and support life-saving research. Around Kelvingrove Park, past the Duke of Wellington Statue and over the Millennium Bridge, you’ll walk past Glasgow's iconic landmarks before ending with a finish line celebration.

You can take part in Shine Night Walk on your own and meet people along the way, or sign up as a group and get family and friends involved.
When you sign up to Shine Night Walk you can pick which research area you want to support. From bowel cancer to children’s cancers or simply where the need is greatest, your fundraising helps support tomorrow’s breakthroughs.

.Every one of our wins against cancer is powered by the pounds you donate. By fundraising for Shine Night Walk, you help make breakthroughs possible.
Shine Night Walk is about all of us coming together to beat cancer. We’re here to help you from fundraising to the finish line. We recommend a fundraising goal of £150 for 10K walkers and £260 for half and full marathon walkers, but no matter how much you raise, your fundraising powers our progress. You can get more support from fellow walkers in the Shine Night Walk Facebook group.
Once you sign up for your Shine Night Walk event, you’ll receive a welcome pack with all the details to help you feel fully prepared.
The SEC has plenty of paid parking on-site at The Hydro Multi-Storey car park. There are a number of electric vehicle charging points within this car park. There are a number of electric vehicle charging points within this car park. There is also a drop-off zone to the rear of the campus, follow the signage around the venue for directions.
Local bus services X19 and 23 stop near to the venue. The 100 Riversider service stops at the SEC. Please visit SEC.co.uk(link is external) for further information.
The nearest train station is Exhibition Centre Station. The station is a short walk from the venue using the pedestrian footbridge which is well signposted.
The SEC is accessible via many cycle lanes and paths including one particularly picturesque route that runs alongside the River Clyde. A covered cycle rack is located in the Scottish Event Campus between the SEC Centre and the SEC Armadillo.
