Shine Night Walk is your chance to light up your city’s streets. You’ll walk past Nottingham's most iconic landmarks before ending with a finish line celebration. People of all abilities can take part and the 10k walk will take between 1.5 to 3 hours to complete.
There are various start times throughout the evening. Refer to your email or pack for your confirmed start time.

You can take part in Shine Night Walk on your own and meet people along the way, or sign up as a group and get family and friends involved.
When you sign up to Shine Night Walk you can pick which research area you want to support. From bowel cancer to children’s cancers or simply where the need is greatest, your fundraising helps support tomorrow’s breakthroughs.

.Every one of our wins against cancer is powered by the pounds you donate. By fundraising for Shine Night Walk, you help make breakthroughs possible.
Shine Night Walk is about all of us coming together to beat cancer. We’re here to help you from fundraising to the finish line. We recommend a fundraising goal of £150 for 10K walkers and £260 for half and full marathon walkers, but no matter how much you raise, your fundraising powers our progress. You can get more support from fellow walkers in the Shine Night Walk Facebook group.
Once you sign up for your Shine Night Walk event, you’ll receive a welcome pack with all the details to help you feel fully prepared.
The nearest mainline station is Nottingham Midland Station which is approx 10min walk to the start area at Old Market Square. For further information visit East Midlands Railway. Nottingham Express Transit operate a number of Tram services stopping at The Old Market Square next to the event site, Trams run every 7 – 15mins last Tram from Old Market Square 00.12am. Bike Lockers are available at Trinity Square Car Park and Fisher Gate Car Park and these are 60p per day. Bike Lockers are also available at the Victoria Centre these are free of charge.

Nottingham City Transport operate a number of bus services with stops around the perimeter of the event start area at Kings Street, Long Row and Friar Lane. Real time car parking signage highlights available spaces across the city. Normal parking charges apply. Park & Ride is also available from Hucknall NG15 7TD, Phoenix Park NG8 6AS, Wilkinson Street NG7 7NW, The Forest NG7 6AQ, Toton Lane NG9 7JA, and Clifton South NG11 8BF using the Nottingham Express Transit. The nearest electric car charging point is D2N2 Charging station, Lace Market Car Park, Pilcher Gate, Nottingham NG1 1QE - Approx a 7 minute walk to/ from the event site.
